What Nikah.App is

A service for Muslims who intend to marry. You answer a set of questions about yourself and what you are looking for, and each week we suggest a small number of people, with our reasons.

When two people both want to talk, they open a Suhba: a private conversation with marriage in view, which a wali can follow. iShaykh, an AI companion, helps you reflect and prepare along the way.

It is not a dating app, and it is not a matchmaking guarantee. We introduce people. What follows is between you, the other person and your families.

Who may use it

You must be 18 or older, be legally free to marry, and be here to marry.

One person, one account, with real information kept current. Second accounts are removed.

A married account receives no recommendations and is not suggested to anybody. It may take part only as a wali or guardian.

What you agree to

The five commitments you accepted at sign-up: respectful conduct, no harassment or sexual content of any kind, one true identity, serious marriage intention, and reporting what is wrong.

That your photographs are of you, recent, and yours to upload.

Not to ask anybody here for money, a visa or a favour, and to report it when somebody asks you.

Not to share or ask for phone numbers, email addresses, social media or links in a Suhba, and not to try to get round the checks that stop them.

Not to copy, publish or pass on another member’s photographs, answers or messages, by screenshot, photograph of the screen or any other way.

What we may do

Review photographs, and remove any that break these terms.

Check every Suhba message automatically before it is sent, stop the ones that break these terms, and pause your sending for 24 hours after repeated attempts.

Read a Suhba conversation or an iShaykh conversation when looking into a report or a safety concern, as the Privacy Policy describes.

Suspend or end an account that breaks these terms, and refuse a new one to the same person — recognised by email address, phone number or face.

Hold a request you send while your Suhba place is in use, send it when there is room, and drop it unsent after 7 days. The person it is for is not shown it until it is sent.

Change how matching works, and what the app offers, as we build it.

iShaykh

iShaykh is an AI. He can be wrong, and nothing he says is a fatwa, or legal, medical or psychological advice. For a ruling, ask a scholar you trust. If you are in danger, call your local emergency number.

He answers a limited number of messages a day, and we may change that limit.

What we do not promise

That you will marry, meet anybody, or receive a full set every week. Suggestions depend on who else is here.

That every member is who they say they are. Verification raises the odds and does not remove the risk: meet in a public place, with a mahram present, and tell your family where you are going.

That the service will be uninterrupted or free of faults.

Nikah Pro

Nikah.App is free to use. Nikah Pro is an optional subscription: unlimited suggestions, seven at a time, instead of 3 a week; up to 7 Suhbas of your own at once instead of 1; and searching anywhere rather than within 250 km.

A Pro member who leaves “Let free members reach me” on can also accept a free member whose own place is in use; that Suhba opens in the Pro member’s place. A free member can be in at most three Suhbas this way.

It is sold weekly, monthly or every three months, at the price the store shows you before you buy. Payment is charged to your App Store or Google Play account when you confirm.

It renews automatically, for the same period and price, unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the current period ends; the renewal is charged within the 24 hours before. Manage or cancel it in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Cancelling stops the next renewal, and Pro lasts until the end of the period already paid for.

Refunds are decided by Apple or Google, under their rules. A refunded purchase ends Pro.

Deleting your Nikah.App account does not cancel the subscription: cancel it with the store you bought it from.

Match Credits

You earn one for each Know Yourself level you finish, and Nikah Pro gives four each month. One adds a suggestion to your set when it has room, and is given back if nobody new fits.

They have no cash value, cannot be bought, sold or transferred, and end with the account.

Ending it

You may delete your account at any time, from Settings or at nikah.app/delete-account, and it is hidden at once and erased 14 days later, unless you sign in and keep it before then. See the Privacy Policy for exactly what goes.

We may end an account that breaks these terms, or that we reasonably believe puts other members at risk.

Liability

Nikah.App is not responsible for the conduct of its members, online or in person. We are responsible for running the service with reasonable care, and nothing here limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit.

Who we are, and which law applies

Nikah.App is operated by Nikah App Inc., a Delaware corporation, of 8 The Green, Suite A, Dover, Delaware 19901, United States. You can reach us at salam@nikah.app.

These terms are governed by the law of the State of Delaware. If you live in the European Union, the United Kingdom or another country whose consumer law gives you rights that cannot be signed away, you keep those rights, and you may bring a claim where you live.

Changes

We will say so in the app before changed terms take effect. Continuing to use Nikah.App after that is acceptance.
