Child Safety Standards

Adults only

You must be 18 or older to use Nikah.App. Everybody gives their date of birth before their profile goes live, and sign-up refuses anybody under 18. An account we believe belongs to a child is closed.

What is never allowed

Child sexual abuse and exploitation of any kind: sexual images of anybody under 18, grooming, sexualising a child in words or pictures, trafficking, and any attempt to contact, meet or obtain images of a child. This applies in profiles, photos, Suhba messages and iShaykh conversations alike.

How we keep it out

Every photo is checked by our server when it is uploaded, and every Suhba message is checked before it is sent: sexual content is stopped, and repeated attempts pause sending.

Anybody can report a profile or a conversation from inside the app, with Report. A person reads every report within 24 hours, and reports about a child's safety come first.

What we do

Content that exploits a child is removed and the account is banned permanently; banned people cannot return with the same email, phone or face.

We report apparent child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), as United States law requires, and cooperate with law enforcement anywhere in the world.
