Nikah.App Nikah.App Terms of Use

Delete your account

You can delete your Nikah.App account at any time, with the app or without it. Deleting is immediate and cannot be undone.

In the app

Open Nikah.App, go to Me, then Settings, and tap Delete my account. It happens straight away.

Here, without the app

Sign in with the email you use for Nikah.App. We send a 6-digit code to it, the same way the app does, then you can delete the account.

Can’t sign in? Write to salam@nikah.app from that address and we will do it for you.

What is deleted

  • Your sign-in, and any Apple or Google sign-in linked to it
  • Your profile and all your answers
  • Your photographs, their blurred copies, and your face-check photo
  • Your suggestions, preferences, blocks and drafts
  • Your Suhbas and your messages in them
  • Your iShaykh conversations and what he remembered
  • Your notification settings and devices

What is kept

One line recording that an account was deleted and when, identified only by its account number, so we can answer you if you write to us afterwards. Nothing in it says who you were.

If an account was banned for breaking our rules, scrambled fingerprints of its email and phone number, and a numeric face signature from its photos, are kept, so the same person cannot sign up again. The email, number and photos themselves are not kept.

A Nikah Pro subscription is not cancelled by deleting the account: cancel it in your App Store or Google Play settings, so you are not charged again.

Questions go to salam@nikah.app, and a person reads them. More in our Privacy Policy.
